Exodus of the Horde was used as the game's demo of Warcraft III and called "Prologue". In the retail version of Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos, the last iii missions were cut out and just the tutorial levels were left as the "Prologue campaign" — with the Introduction: The Prophecy and Cinematic: Thrall's Vision added — however, it was extended in the official "Custom campaign" in Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne calculation the final 3 missions back. Although the remaining missions were added in the Frozen Throne, the voice acting was removed.

The orc campaign connected in The Invasion of Kalimdor.

Differences from both versions

Prologue-Custom
  • Has nonfunctional triggers where the archmage was supposed to be captured (equally they are nonfunctional the actual lore may be that the archmage was killed in the battle).
  • Has two different loading screens in the first two levels.
  • Has demolishers
Demo
  • Has 2 dissimilar loading screens in the first ii levels.
  • Has catapults.
  • In Riders of the Storm, the archmage leading the humans is always named Kelen the Seeker. In the Custom campaign, his name is randomly generated (which means that "Kelen the Seeker" is merely one of several possible names he might get) every bit in a custom map.

Disadvantages from each version

Disadvantages
  • Thrall's items and tomes aren't saved from the Prologue to the Custom campaign.
  • There is a visibility problems with Sen'jin in The Fires Down Below.
  • Custom campaign has no vocalism acting.
Demo
Disadvantages
  • Can't be played in latest patch, limiting the gameplay.
  • Don't accept the complete music.

  • At start of the Orc campaign, players can see that Thrall's level is one, fifty-fifty if the histrion levels upwardly Thrall in the Prologue entrada.
